Honu Guardian collects no personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. The app makes no network requests while you play it.
Nothing. There is no data collection in this app of any kind. Specifically, the app does not collect, transmit, sell, or share:
The app saves your high-score table so your best runs survive closing the app.
This is a list of up to 200 entries, each holding only a player label you type in,
a score, a level number, and a date. It is written to your device's own app
storage (iOS UserDefaults) and it never leaves your phone.
Deleting the app deletes this data. There is no copy anywhere else, which also means we cannot recover your scores for you.
The app does not track you across other apps or websites, and it does not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, because there is nothing to request permission for.
There are no ads and no advertising SDKs in the app. The "Tide Gift" is an in-game timer that grants mana; it is not an advertisement and it loads nothing from the internet.
The "Our Ocean Pledge" screen contains two links that open in Safari on oceanicsociety.org, the website of Oceanic Society, a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit. If you follow one, you leave Honu Guardian and that organisation's own privacy policy applies to what happens next. We receive no information about whether you followed a link, and we receive nothing about any donation you may choose to make there.
Honu Guardian takes no money at any point. There is no checkout or payment form inside the app.
The app is safe for children to play and is not directed at them as a category. Because it collects no data whatsoever, it collects no data from children either, and it does not require or request any personal information before, during, or after play.
If a future version of the app ever changes what it stores or sends, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the date at the top will change. Any such change would also be reflected in the App Privacy details on the app's App Store page.
Questions about this policy or the app can be sent to matthew.knoth@gmail.com.
